Code Of Ethics

As a Certified F.A.S.T. practitioner you vow to uphold this code

1. Beneficiary Welfare
The welfare of your beneficiary is your primary concern at all times.

2. Follow the Manifesto of a F.A.S.T. practitioner

  • Take off your shoes and listen - you know nothing, about anybody. Listen first.

  • Want to learn - Being of service is a life long journey. Read, talk, share, teach.

  • Be inspired - Come from a wish to learn and to give

  • Dare to fail - It is not about you

  • Use what you have - Anything is better than nothing

  • Take no credit - It is not about you, empower them for accepting

  • Pay your way if necessary - Sometimes the reward for helping is helping

  • Expect little, give much - Not everyone in healing can offer gratitude

  • Pay it forward - Give so others can give to others

  • Bring humor and stability - Compassion comes with a smile

  • Know your limits - But do not let them stop you

  • Everything depends - There is no certainty in any living interaction

  • Avoid every stereotype - There is no such thing as two similar fingerprints

  • Respect every person and be curious - Learn about them instead of guessing

  • Know that the techniques are just a part of the solution, learn the other parts as well!

  • No suffering - Never ask anyone to retell their story

  • Healing is possible - We have seen it thousands of times, trust the process

  • Be prepared for miracles!

3. Offer F.A.S.T. free when necessary
As a certified F.A.S.T. Practitioner you vow to treat people with needs also if they have no resources, within the realm of your situation.

4. Be complementary
You will always offer the service of F.A.S.T. as a complementary treatment, a First Aid Tool. Any other treatment the beneficiary is getting such as therapy or medication has nothing to do with this.

5. Your Skills and Certifications
You acknowledge that some skills are aquired through certification and some only through dedication, devotion and practice.

It is therefore necessary that you

  • vow to take responsibility for your skills and certifications and make sure you are clear about this when asked.

  • help and share your experiences and tools with other members.

  • maintain an awareness of research and developments in the field of Trauma and other linked fields with an open mind.

6. War and abuse
Remember when dealing with victims of war and abuse that every victim has a mindset you may want to understand and respect. A soldier is taught to be strong, an abused woman or child may back away from physical contact. Adapt your approach to EVERY beneficiary and their unique situation. When you deal with beneficiaries under the age of 18 years or with special needs, it may be appropriate to do so with the informed consent of a parent or legal guardian if possible.

7. Spread the knowledge
Encourage every person who is interested that they can learn Tapping. Inspire them to visit and download the free materials on our website www.peacefulheart.se and advocate that this is a first aid tool for everyone to learn and use.

8. Carry the torch

Help others find and train in F.A.S.T. Be an ambassador. Mention our collaboration in social media so we can reach more and gain support.
